Who Is Jesus?

Jesus is the center of the Christian faith.

Not just a good teacher. Not just a moral example. Not just a religious leader from history.

The Bible presents Jesus as the Son of God, fully God and fully human, who came to save us and bring us back to the Father.

Jesus Is a Real Person

Christian faith is not built on a myth. Jesus of Nazareth lived in the first century, taught publicly, gathered disciples, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, and changed history.

Even outside the Bible, ancient sources point to Jesus as a real historical figure. But the Bible does more than tell us that Jesus existed. It tells us who he is.

Jesus Is the Son of God

John 3:16 says:

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Jesus is not just sent by God. He reveals God. He shows us what the Father is like.

When we look at Jesus, we see the heart of God - full of truth, mercy, holiness, compassion, and authority.

Jesus Lived Without Sin

One of the most important things the Bible teaches is that Jesus was tempted, but he did not sin.

Hebrews 4:15 says Jesus was tempted in every way, just as we are, yet he did not sin.

That matters because Jesus did what none of us could do. He lived in complete obedience to the Father. He was the only one qualified to take our place.

Jesus Died for Our Sin

The cross was not an accident. Jesus willingly gave his life for us.

Romans 5:8 says:

God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Sin separates us from God. Jesus stepped into that separation. He carried our sin, took our judgment, and made a way for us to be forgiven.

That is the good news. We do not save ourselves by being good enough. We are saved by grace because Jesus is enough.

Jesus Rose From the Dead

Christianity does not end at the cross. Jesus rose from the grave.

The resurrection means sin and death do not get the final word. It means Jesus is Lord. It means hope is not wishful thinking. It means new life is possible.

Paul says if Christ has not been raised, our faith is useless. But Jesus has been raised, and that changes everything.

Jesus Invites a Response

The question is not only, who is Jesus?

The question is, who is Jesus to you?

Romans 10:9 says if you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Following Jesus begins with trust. We turn from sin, receive his grace, and begin walking with him.

Jesus Is Still Changing Lives

Jesus is alive. He still forgives. He still restores. He still calls people to follow him.

If you are wondering who Jesus is, start with the Gospels. Read his words. Watch how he treats people. Look at the cross. Look at the empty tomb.

Jesus is the Son of God, the Savior of the world, and the hope we all need.
