FIRST SUNDAYS

The first Sunday of every month is special around here, and we mean it. First Sundays are when we gather as a church family to celebrate some of the most meaningful moments.

We cheer people on as they publicly declare their faith through baptism. We pray over families as they dedicate their children to the Lord. We remember what Jesus did for us as we take communion together. We kick off new sermon series that help us grow deeper in our faith.

These aren't just events on a calendar . They're moments that remind us why we do this together. Why we gather. Why we believe. Why church family matters. Whether it is your first time here or you have been part of this family for years, bring someone with you.
First Sundays are moments you will want to share.

BAPTISMS

Baptism is an important step of obedience that shows others we have personally trusted Jesus for our salvation. Jesus was baptized when He was on the earth, and we follow His example. When Christians are baptized, they are submerged under water to identify with the death and burial of Jesus and raised out of the water to identify with His resurrection.
We believe that water baptism is a public declaration: you are a follower of Jesus Christ, you are beginning a changed life in Christ, and you are part of a new family.

If you're getting baptized, join us at 9:30 AM the morning of First Sunday, in the Multipurpose Room (directly across from the coffee bar) for our Baptism Meeting. We'll walk you through what to expect and why this step matters.

Ready to be baptized?
Let's make it happen on First Sunday.

For Parents: If your child is 8 or older and has accepted Jesus as their Savior, they can be baptized! We encourage you to have thoughtful conversations with them about this decision, allowing the Holy Spirit to guide them to this personal choice.

Child dedication is a sacred moment where parents publicly commit to raising their child according to biblical principles and in the ways of the Lord. This practice is rooted in Scripture, where we see parents bringing their children before God and their church family for prayer.

When you dedicate your child at Believers Center, you are making three important declarations: you are committing to raise your child to know Jesus Christ, you are inviting your church family to support and pray for your family, and you are acknowledging that your child is a gift entrusted to you by God.

Our church family takes this commitment seriously. When you stand before us, we stand with you - committing to support you in prayer, encouragement, and practical help as you navigate the journey of parenting. We believe raising children in the faith is not meant to be done alone - it's meant to be done with your church family. We would be honored to celebrate this moment with your family!

Child dedication is for children ages 0-4 years old. It’s the perfect time to invite grandparents, uncles and aunts, and special friends to witness and celebrate this beautiful commitment.

START HERE

Start Here is your opportunity to connect with Believers Center and discover how you can be part of our church family. We believe that faith is meant to be lived out in community - not alone - and Start Here is the first step toward finding your place.

During Start Here, you'll learn about who we are as a church and what we believe. We'll share about small groups and how to join one, ways you can serve on a team, and answer any questions you have about Believers Center. Our staff will be there to meet you, connect with you, and help you figure out where you fit.

We're better together. God designed us to walk through life with other believers - encouraging one another, supporting one another, and growing in faith together.
Start Here is where that journey begins for you.
Start Here takes place every First Sunday after service in the Multipurpose Room (it's directly across from the coffee bar).
We'd love to see you there.

See You At First Sundays!
